INES D'ARCO

Ines D’Arco, 83, of Oak Ridge, NJ passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at her home with her family by her side. Ines was born on May 22, 1931 in Pacora, Colombia to Ana Francisca (Londono) and Ramon Castrillon. She was a teacher in Colombia for nine years and immigrated to the United States in 1962. In 1964 she earned her Master’s Degree in Education and also married Henry S. D’Arco. The first four years of their marriage they lived in the Bronx. In 1968 they moved to Jefferson Township where they raised their four children and have resided there until her passing. Ines volunteered for many years at the Cozy Lake School in Milton, NJ. Ines was a faithful parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church in Oak Ridge, NJ. She devoted her time to under privileged families in the hispanic community in Dover, NJ. Ines will best be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and for her enjoyment of arts and crafts. Ines was predeceased by her siblings Daniel, Adam, and Margarita Castrillon. She is survived by her beloved husband Henry of 50 years; her loving sons Patrick H. D’Arco and his wife Traci, Alexander D. D’Arco, David A. D’Arco and his wife Andrea, and Steven M. D’Arco and his wife Adriana. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Gabriella, Jack, Anthony, Leo, Salvatore, and Dominic, as well as her dear niece Gloria Andel. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, January 4, 2015 from 1pm to 5pm at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 LaRue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 (For GPS directions use 1 Post Place). The funeral mass will take place on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 10am at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, 5635 Berkshire Valley Road, Oak Ridge, NJ 07438. The interment will immediately follow at St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery, adjacent to the church.
