DANIEL (DANNY) JOHN BATELLI

Daniel John Batelli, 42, of Oak Ridge, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville, NJ. He was born in Paterson, NJ to Grace (nee Elphick) and Thomas Batelli. Daniel attended and graduated from Butler High School. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies from Ramapo College. He was employed at Hampton-Clarke Veritech in Fairfield, NJ as a Supervisor in the Volatile Organics Department. Daniel was a faithful parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church in Oak Ridge, NJ where he attended with his family. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council # 943 in Butler, NJ. Daniel enjoyed coaching recreational sports in Jefferson Township, most recently for his daughter’s soccer team. Daniel will best be remembered as an avid runner especially in marathons, including a Triathlon, and for his love of the outdoors and hiking. Daniel is predeceased by his father-in-law Donald Crane in 2004. Daniel is survived by his beloved wife Tracy, his cherished daughters Anna and Rachel Batelli, his loving parents Grace and Tom Batelli of Riverdale, his dear brothers Tom Batelli and his wife Geri, and Dennis Batelli, and his loving sister Kristy Freeman and her husband Quan; his sister-in-law Lisa Crane and his brothers-in-law Ed Crane and Michael Crane and his wife Karen, his dear mother-in-law Adeline Crane of Oak Ridge, NJ, his loving nieces Ashley and Abby Crane, and his dear nephews Tom and Joe Batelli. Daniel also leaves behind many loving relatives and friends, especially his best friend Anthony DiBiase. The family will receive visitors on Friday, October 25, 2013 from 3-7 pm at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 LaRue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 10am at St. John Vianney RC Church, 2823 Route 23 South, Stockholm, NJ 07460. The interment will follow at St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery, Oak Ridge, NJ 07438.
