EMILY M. GOUTREMOUT

Emily Maria Goutremout, 68, of Milton, NJ, passed away at her home on Saturday, February 11, 2017 with her family by her side. She was born on March 18, 1948 in New York City to the late Helen (Keene) and the late Albert Wachholtz. Emily married Gordon Goutremout in 1971 and resided in Carmel, NY, then in the Milton section of Oak Ridge, NJ, then in Connecticut for many years, finally settling back in Milton, NJ in 1990. She worked for 15 years as the Library Assistant in the Jefferson Township Municipal Library. Emily was involved a parishioner of the Grace Evangelical Free Church in Oak Ridge, where she became involved with many committees within the church, most recently the Global Outreach Committee. Emily was predeceased by her beloved son Scott Goutremout in 2005, and her dear sister Christine Zielenski in 2011. She is survived by her loving husband Gordon, her cherished daughter Amy Pearlman and her husband Craig, her sister Diane Santaita, her brother Donald Wachholtz, as well as many nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 4-7pm at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 La Rue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 (GPS use 1 Post Place). The prayer service will take place on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 10am at the funeral home. The interment will follow, family only, at The Oak Ridge Presbyterian Cemetery, in Oak Ridge, NJ. A memorial service celebrating Emily’s life will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 4pm at the Grace Evangelical Free Church, 5550 Berkshire Valley Road, Oak Ridge, NJ 07438. All are invited to attend and join in the repast following the service. The family would like to request that those attending the viewing, prayer service, or the memorial service at the Grace Evangelical Free Church memorial service to please bring a photo or note sharing a memory of Emily to add to a memory board. It was Emily’s wish that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be directed to the Grace Evangelical Free Church in Oak Ridge, NJ for the purpose of supporting Tabitha Centers, DR Congo, Africa.
