CALVARY CEMETERY BARTHOLDI AVENUE BUTLER, NEW JERSEY 07405 Glenn Michael Jurkovic, 57 years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 14, 1968, in Teaneck, NJ, and was the cherished son of Victor and Catherine Jurkovic. A proud graduate of Rutgers University, Glenn went on to earn a master’s degree in Computer Science from Seton Hall University. He began his career as a computer programmer and later discovered his true calling—teaching children about technology. Glenn’s passion for education and his ability to inspire young minds brought him immense joy and fulfillment. Beyond his professional life, Glenn was known for his love of cooking and hosting family and friends during holidays and special occasions. He enjoyed traveling to new destinations and found enjoyment in playing his guitar. His quick wit and wonderful sense of humor brightened every room, leaving lasting memories of laughter and warmth. Glenn touched countless lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Catherine Jurkovic; his brother-in-law, Dan Dolinsky; and his aunt, Emily Purdy. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lauren Jurkovic; his son, Michael Jurkovic; and his siblings, Dan Jurkovic (Jolene), Dianne Dolinsky, and Neil Jurkovic (Janice). He also leaves behind his nieces Danielle Bevilacqua (Michael), Stephanie Janitz (Dennis), Rebecca Filipek (Matt), Elise Jurkovic and nephews Daniel Jurkovic (Jessica), Evan Jurkovic and Eric Jurkovic. Additional surviving family members include his mother-in-law, Eugenia Trevethan; sisters-in-law Jennifer Trevethan (Frank) and Nicola Melby; as well as his niece Victoria Melby, nephew Collier Ellis and many cousins. The family will receive visitors on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 La Rue Rd, Newfoundland, NJ 07435. The funeral mass will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 9:30 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church; 65 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ 07405, followed by the interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Butler, NJ.
