She was born on August 24, 1932 in Sparta, NJ to the late Mary Ann “Myra” (nee Jenkins) Bayles and the late Lawrence Bayles. Gloria married Paul Joseph Mikowski in 1955 and resided in Milton, NJ. where they raised their family. For many years Gloria worked for the Jefferson Township Board of Education in Educational Resources. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Paul Joseph Mikowski in 2017; her loving son John Michael Mikowski in 2005; her dear parents Myra Shaw in 2011 and father Charles Bayles in 1979; her loving step-father Donald Shaw in 1991; her dear brothers Donald Shaw in 1981 and Larry Bayles in 2015. Gloria is survived by her loving daughter Sue Ellen Mikowski of Belvidere, NJ; her cherished grandchildren: Rebecca Joh and Jillian MacDonald; her adored great grandchildren Lola Wren, Murray and Leonard; her loving brother Tom Shaw; her dear nieces Jennifer Shaw, Robin Shaw, Bonne Simonian and Faye Carson; and her dear nephews Dustin Shaw, Tom Bayles, Bud Bayles, Carolyn Shaw, and Jeffrey Shaw. A memorial funeral service (urn will be present) will take place on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 2pm at Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church, 342 Oak Ridge Road, Oak Ridge, New Jersey 07438; followed by the placement of the urn in the niche at Oak Ridge Cemetery, behind Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church. Refreshments will follow at the Oak Ridge Presbyterian Parish House.
