Harrison, 84 years of age, of Oak Ridge, NJ., passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 9, 2020. Born on April 12, 1936 in Mount Vernon, New York to Sara (nee Cushing) and Peter Dillon. She married John Harrison in 1968 and resided in Oak Ridge, NJ. Janice was an Administrative Assistant working at the Center for Family Resources in Ringwood, NJ. Janice spent her spare time helping friends, family and children in need. She will be best remembered for her enjoyment of sewing, cooking, reading, puzzles, traveling, spending time with her grandchildren, and the Jersey shore. Janice was predeceased by her parents Sara and Peter, and her sister Eleanor (nee Lee) Strickland. She is survived by her loving children Dana Garrison and her husband Patrick, Nancy McAliney and her husband Myles, and Jennifer Bancroft and her husband Kenneth, her cherished granddaughters Lauren Garcia, Caitlyn Garrison, Brielle McAliney, Jillian McAliney, and Morgan Bancroft; her adored grandsons Dylan Garrison, Scott McAliney, and Harrison Bancroft; her cherished great grandchildren Dallas and Adeline Garcia, and Lincoln Garrison; her dear nieces Debbie Tucker Brown and Susan Given; her loving step children John Harrison, Jr. and his wife Laura, and Janet Magistro; her dear step grandchildren Nicholas Harrison, TJ Harrison, and Alexandra Magistro; as well as her loving cousins Janice Blomley Murphy and Judy Blomley, who provided great comfort to Janice. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, September 5, 2020 from 3pm to 5pm at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 La Rue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 (for GPS use 1 Post Place).
