Joseph F. Ahearn, 76 years, of Oak Ridge, NJ, passed away at his home with his family by his side on Sunday, October 28, 2018. He was born on June 4, 1942 in Teaneck, NJ to the late Mary G. (Cotter) and Joseph A. Ahearn. Joseph married Carol (Hollenstein) in 1968 and resided in Little Ferry, NJ where they started their family. They relocated to Ridgefield Park, NJ, and in 1982 they moved again to Oak Ridge, NJ, where they have since resided. For many years he as in auto body restoration at Odyssey Body Works in Hackensack, NJ. Joseph enjoyed watching sports, bowling, working on cars, and listening to 50’s music. He will best be remembered for his expressions through his eyes, his artistic abilities, and being a man of many trades. Joseph was predeceased by his brother Paul, 3 years of age, and his brother Jerry in 2007. He is survived by his beloved wife Carol; his loving daughters Cheryl, Dawn, and Donna; his seven cherished grandchildren; his dear sister Kathleen McNally of Saddle Brook, NJ; and his dear nephew Danny Ahearn of Saddle Brook, NJ. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm with a prayer service at 7:30pm during the last half hour of the visitation at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 La Rue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 (For GPS use 1 Post Place).
