Simiele, 88 years old, of Palmerton, PA, formerly of Oak Ridge, NJ, passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, April 13, 2019. He was born on January 8, 1931 in Amsterdam, NY to the late Mary (LaVigna) and the late Albino Simiele. Joe proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 1949 to 1953 in Korea during the Korean War. He married Judith (Harry) in 1963 and resided in Newark, NJ later moving to Oak Ridge, NJ where they raised their two children. Joe was a route driver for many years in Newark with the Borden Company and in Garfield, NJ at Primex Plastics. He will best be remembered for always being the life of the party, and for being a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, as well as a friend to all. Joe found great pleasure in doing various home improvement projects and could always be found with his tools at hand, ready for a project. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Lorraine in 2009. Joe is survived by his beloved wife Judith of Palmerton, PA, his loving children Lisa Semenza and her husband Andrew of Hamburg, NJ and Joseph Simiele and his wife Stephanie of Hancock, New Hampshire; his cherished grandchildren Andrew and Sophie Semenza and Brooke and Skye Simiele. The family will receive visitors on Monday, April 22, 2019 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 La Rue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 (For GPS use 1 Post Place). Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 12 noon before driving in procession to the cemetery for the graveside service at 1:30pm at Calvary Cemetery in Paterson, NJ.
