KATHRYN ANN SCHNELL

Kathryn Schnell, 53, of Vernon Twp., NJ, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. Kathy was born on June 18, 1962 in Saddle Brook, NJ to Jessie Ann (O’Toole) Reilly and Francis Patrick Reilly, Sr. She attended Indian Hills High School. Kathy married David Schnell in 1994 and they resided in Oakland, NJ for one year before moving to Vernon, NJ in 1995. She worked for many years as the Assistant Treasurer to the CEO in the finance department of the Borough of Oakland until her retirement in 2007. Kathy was a devoted member of the West Milford Elks Lodge # 2236 and the Wallkill VFW Post # 8441 in Vernon Twp., NJ. Kathy is survived by her beloved husband David of 21 years; her loving sons: Jerimiah Schnell, Joseph Petrucci and his fiancée Ericka Joy, and Bryan Mate; her cherished grandchildren: Joseph David Petrucci, Jerimiah Gage Schnell, and Rylee who is expected to be born early next year; her loving parents Jessie Ann and Francis Reilly, her dear mother-in-law Joan Schnell; her dear nieces Shannon, Caitlyn, and Mikaela Reilly, Paige Durante, Sophie and Tess Walpole, and Gabbie Schnell; her dear nephews: Justin, Tyler, and Sean Reilly, and Alexander Walpole; her dear brothers Frank Reilly Jr, and Mike Reilly and his wife Barbara; and her dear sister Jessie Ann Reilly, and her dear uncle Jimmy Reilly. Kathy also leaves behind many dear and cherished friends from the Elks and the VFW. The family will receive visitors on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 4pm to 9pm at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 La Rue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 (GPS use 1 Post Place). The funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 9am at the funeral home.
