THOMAS THE APOSTLE CEMETERY 5635 BERKSHIRE VALLEY ROAD OAK RIDGE, NJ 07438 Leonore J. Brown, 86 years, of Oak Ridge, NJ, (West Milford Twp.) passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018. She was born on April 23, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Gerard and Leonore (Autenreith) Connell. Leonore married John J. Brown, Jr. in 1963 and resided in Mineola, NY, moving in 1971 to the Oak Ridge section of West Milford Twp. where they raised their family. She was a teacher for more than 15 years with the Jefferson Township Board of Education. Leonore was a faithful parishioner for over 30 years at St. Simon the Apostle RC Church in Green Pond, NJ where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She will best be remembered for her crafty talents, especially her cake decorating. She also loved to take care of everyone, especially her grandchildren. Leonore was predeceased by her beloved husband John J. Brown, Jr. in 2016 and her dear brother Gerard Connell. She is survived by her loving children Kathy Ferrarese and her husband Frank of West Caldwell, NJ, John J. Brown, III, and his wife Christine of Flemington, NJ, and Beth Manzi and her husband Matt of Randolph, NJ.; her cherished grandchildren Steven and Emily Ferrarese, John J. “JJ” and Rebecca Brown, and Ryan and Shane Manzi; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 9am to 10am followed by a funeral mass at 10am at St. Simon the Apostle RC Church, 1010 Green Pond Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435. Immediately following the funeral mass, Leonore will be interred beside her husband in St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery in Oak Ridge, NJ.
