MICHAEL CADOU

Michael Cadou, 64, of Oak Ridge, NJ, formerly of Wallington, NJ passed away at his home on Friday, June 24, 2016. He was born on December 17, 1951 in Kerbris, France to the late Roger and Marie (Canaff) Cadou. He and his family came to the Unites States when he was 4 years old and resided in Lodi, NJ where Michael later graduated from Lodi high School. Michael married Denise Carcreff in 1974 and together they raised their family in (town). Michael was a Chemical Operator and a Demolition Specialist at Hoffman-La Roche in Nutley, NJ and a Repair Technician at Sears. He was a volunteer fire fighter at both the Wallington Engine Company 202 in Wallington, NJ and at the Community Fire Company 2 in West Milford, NJ. Michael was the Fire Chief at Roche Fire Brigade and at the Community Fire Company #1. He was the Scout Master for Troop 151 in Oak Ridge, NJ. Michael enjoyed spending time outdoors, both hiking and camping, and especially salmon and fly fishing. Michael was predeceased by his loving parents Roger Cadou in 1981 and Marie Cadou in 2006. Michael is survived by his beloved wife Denise, his loving children Robert Cadou and his wife Jen (Moore) of Vernon, NJ; Paul Cadou and his wife Rachel (Daniels) of Rocky Mount, VA; and Noelle (Cadou) Walton and her husband Robert of Yorktown, VA; his cherished grandchildren Logan, Reese, and Joshua Cadou, and Alex, Evan, and Cameron Walton; and his dear siblings John Cadou, Nicole Lucas, and Ginette LeRouzic. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 La Rue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 (GPS use 1 Post Place). The funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 10am at the funeral home. Final disposition will be private.
