She is survived by her children, Lisa (LaBruto) Montalbano and her husband Mic, Michael LaBruto and his wife Diane; her cherished grandchildren: Lauren, Jonathan, and Andrew; her brother Charles and his wife Linda, her brother Kenneth and his wife Louise, her sister Pamela and her husband Ron; her nieces Jean Marie, Sherise, Destinee; and her nephews, Charles, Patrick, Daniel, and Devin. Ginny was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard in July 2013 and her brother George in 2021. Born in Newark, NJ to the late Charles and Virginia Wenzel, she was raised in Irvington, NJ alongside her brothers, Charles, George, and Kenneth, and sister Pamela Johnson. Ginny graduated from Irvington High School in 1967 and became an office manager and administrative assistant at different firms in northern New Jersey, most recently at Thomas Cataldo Law Firm prior to retirement. Ginny married Richard LaBruto in 1971 and resided in Morris Plains, NJ where they raised their two children; moving in 2009 to Mount Joy, PA where her husband Richard passed away in 2013; then she moved to Morgantown, PA in 2015 and finally to her daughter’s residence in West Milford, NJ. Ginny was a woman of deep faith and strong family values. She most recently attended The Almond Branch church in West Milford, NJ where she was involved in the church regularly. Ginny’s genuine and kind-hearted nature made her a rare soul, leaving an indelible impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be sorely missed by the church congregation and her many friends. Ginny’s true calling, however, was being a loving wife, devoted mother, and the best grandmother, anyone could ask for. She poured her heart into her family. Supporting and nurturing the activities and passions of her husband, children, and, most recently her beloved grandchildren. Ginny’s unwavering attendance at their extracurricular events was a testament to her love and dedication. Ginny was a free spirit and enjoyed music and dancing. Her famous homemade meatballs and cheesecake were a family tradition around the holidays, with many asking for the coveted recipes. Throughout her life, Ginny LaBruto’s warmth, dedication, and love left an enduring mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy of family, love, and passion for music and dancing will be celebrated and remembered with great affection and joy.
