Buonforte, 93 years young, a long-time resident of West Milford, NJ passed away peacefully at home Monday, February 28, 2022, surrounded by his loving children. Angelo was the 6th of 8 children born on October 7,1928, in Paterson, NJ., to Antoinette (nee Marotta) and Armando Buonforte. Angelo proudly served our country in the New Jersey National Guard from 1947 until his honorable discharge in 1954. At a young age he began working at The Watson Machine Company in Paterson, NJ, until his retirement in 2001, as Vice President of Finance. He always worked hard in order to provide for his family. He was an attentive husband, loving father and grandfather, loyal brother and uncle, devoted son, and trustworthy friend. It was during his early years at Watson that he met and married Patricia Kerr. They initially settled in Saddle Brook and raised five children. Angelo was predeceased by his beloved wife Patricia, his dear son Paul and his companion Jeanne. He is survived by his loving children, Terry Doremus, her husband Dave, Ann Hunnicutt, her husband Mike, Tom Buonforte, his wife Marie, and Peter Buonforte and his companion Lauren, his fifteen grandchildren, and his eight adored great grandchildren. Throughout his life Angelo was known by many names to the people that loved him. Whether he was called Al, Uncle Beef, Pops or Dad, his favorite was being called GP by his grandchildren. A memorial mass will take place on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11am at St. Joseph RC Church, 454 Germantown Road, West Milford, NJ 07480. Private interment will follow. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Angelo Buonforte’s name to a charity of your choice.
