CURTIS E. WALL Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Curtis E. Wall, 75, of Oak Ridge, NJ, passed away at his home on Sunday, May 4, 2014. Curtis was born on June 1, 1938 in Luverne, Minnesota to the late Alma (nee Peterson) and the late Edward Wall. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 1957 to 1960. Curtis married Cornelia (nee VanDruten) in December 1957 and lived in the Oak Ridge section of Jefferson Twp. for 43 years where they raised their family. He was employed for 35 years as a truck driver for Tiger Building Materials in West Caldwell, NJ. Curtis enjoyed spending time with his family and his numerous motorcycle rides. He will best be remembered as The Gentle Giant. Curtis was predeceased by his beloved wife Cornelia in 2010 and his two dear sisters Darlene Kane and Margaret Saletto. He is survived by his adored children Curtis P. Wall, Dawn Coveney and her husband Kevin, Lisa Cartier and her husband Rod, and Darlene Wall, his cherished grandchildren Curtis E. Wall, Christopher Wall, Cory Wall, James Cartier, Elise Armstrong, Melissa Coveney, and Amanda Zimmer. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 LaRue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 (GPS use 1 Post Place). Friends and family will gather on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 9:30am at the funeral home prior to the interment which will take place at the Oak Ridge Presbyterian Cemetery in Oak Ridge, NJ.
