Florence D. Vandermark, 82, of Oak Ridge, passed away at Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA on Thursday, January 20, 2011. She was born in Oak Ridge to Mildred (Talmadge) Davenport and Harold Davenport. Mrs. Vandermark was a school bus driver for many years in West Milford Township. She was also a proud member of the Newfoundland Ambulance Corp, the Oak Ridge Fire Department Auxiliary, as well as a lifelong member of the VFW Auxiliary. Mrs. Vandermark was a parishioner of the Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church as well as a Sunday School Teacher for several years. She will best be remembered for her crocheting and sewing and for always donating her handmade crafts. Mrs. Vandermark is survived by her loving husband Benjamin Vandermark; her dear son Benjamin Vandermark of Lafayette, NJ; her two loving daughters: Patricia Acquaire of Guilford, NY and Cheryl Arzoumanian of Dingmans Ferry, PA; her cherished grandchildren: Jessica, Peter, Alissa, and Emily; and her beloved great granddaughters: Amethyst, Legacy, and Allie. She also leaves behind her dear brother Gerald Davenport of Stockholm, NJ and her loving sister Lois Cooper of Shohola, PA; as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 LaRue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435. The funeral service will take place on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 10 am at the funeral home. The final disposition will be private.
