Hedwig Sics Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Hedwig Rosa Sics, 87, of Oak Ridge, passed away at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville on January 5, 2010. She was born in Epplingen, Germany to Elisabeth (Knorzer) Eckert and Joseph Eckert. Mrs. Sics was employed at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville for 25 years and has been retired for the last 25 years. Mrs. Sics was a member of the Lakeland Senior Club; the Golden Age Club of West Milford and a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church in Oak Ridge. She will best be remembered for her love of gardening, crocheting, and her German cooking. Mrs. Sics is predeceased by her husband Alfred A. Sics in 1993 and her daughter Elisabeth Sics in 2006. Mrs. Sics is survived by her loving son Al Sics of Oak Ridge, her dear daughters: Christine H. DeLellis and her husband Rocco of Port Murray, NJ and Alise Duerr and her husband Robert of Merritt Island, FL; her cherished grandchildren: Matthew Duerr and his wife Karen; Alan Duerr, Amanda Duerr, and Caryn Duerr; and Benjamin DeLellis.
