THOMAS THE APOSTLE CEMETERY ADJACENT TO THE CHURCH Helen Ann Wyso, 89 years of age, of Oak Ridge, New Jersey, formerly of New York City, New York and Ridgewood, New Jersey, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 26, 2022 surrounded by her daughters. She was born on December 13, 1932 in New York City, New York to the late Anna (nee Augustyn) and the late Michael Sciora. Helen married Joseph M. Wyso in 1952 and together they raised their three daughters in Ridgewood, NJ, later moving to Oak Ridge where they have resided until Joe’s passing in 2015. For 15 years, Helen was an administrative secretary for Playtex International Corporation Research and Development in Paramus, New Jersey, until her retirement in 1989. Helen has been a faithful parishioner of St. Stanislaus in NYC., Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Ridgewood, New Jersey, for 35 years, and until her passing in both St. John Vianney RC Church in Stockholm, New Jersey, and St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church in Oak Ridge, New Jersey. She enjoyed being a member of The Milton Senior Club of Oak Ridge, New Jersey. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph in 2015, her dear parents Anna and Michael Sciora, her brothers Michael Sciora and Major Stanley Sciora; and her sister Josephine Yarosz. Helen is survived by her three loving and devoted daughters: Joyce Simpson, Christina Hazard and her husband Richard, and Edwina Francaviglia; her eight cherished grandchildren: Adria, Jennifer, Erin, Meagan, Michael, Jonathan, Michelle, and DeAnna; her 13 adored great grandchildren: Kaylee, Kelsea, Miles, Henry, Collin, Connor, Anne Olivia, Cooper, Jackson, Greyson, Eleanor, Natalie, and Eliza; as well as many dear nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will take place on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 11am at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, 5635 Berkshire Valley Road, Oak Ridge, New Jersey 07438, followed by the burial of cremains in St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery, adjacent to the church.
