THOMAS THE APOSTLE CEMETERY ADJACENT TO THE CHURCH John A. Wilpert, 69 years of age, of Wrightstown, NJ, passed away at his home with his family at his side, on Thursday, May 26, 2022. He was born on February 26, 1953 in Rockville Center, NY to the late Barbara (nee Rhomberger) and the late Peter Wilpert. In 1971, John graduated from Pope John High School and went on to attend the University of Notre Dame, graduating in 1975. He married Jayne E. Rock in 1994 and resided in Sussex, NJ, later moving to Augusta in Frankford Twp., NJ. In 2003 they made their final move together to Wrightstown, North Hanover Twp., NJ where they remained until his passing. For many years John was a parishioner of The Church of the Assumption in New Egypt, NJ. John will best be remembered for his love of family, for making the best homemade rice pudding, and an avid, lifelong Yankee fan. He was predeceased by his mother Barbara in 1984, his father Peter in 2004, and his son Timothy P. Pizzute in 2016. John is survived by his beloved wife Jayne, his loving children Adam J. Wilpert, Gregory P. Pizzute, John T. Wilpert, and his soon to be wife Michelle Thong, and Amy L. Pierce and her husband Tyler; his cherished grandchildren Leif Mardosa, Torren Wilpert, Kayleigh J. Pizzute, Isabella J. Pizzute, Evelyn Pierce, Emersyn Pierce, and Ellisyn Pierce; his dear brothers Frank Wilpert and his wife Gerri, and Tony Wilpert and his wife Rene; his sisters-in-law Martha Cullen and her husband Kevin and Julie Cannon and her husband Michael; as well as his nieces Danja Hagi and Krista Stechschulte and nephews Frank Wilpert, Jr. and Derek Wilpert. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 4pm to 8pm at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 La Rue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 (for GPS use 1 Post Place). The funeral mass will take place on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 10am at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, 5635 Berkshire Valley Road, Oak Ridge, NJ 07438, followed by the interment at St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery, which is adjacent to the church.
