Marco was born on December 21, 1933 in Pacentro, Italy to the late Fillipo and Antoinette (Lucci) and immigrated to America at age 7. Marco was a retired graphic artist with his office and real estate holdings in Lakeland Plaza, Newfoundland. He enjoyed his family and keeping them close and involved. He was a lively narrator and enjoyed captivating his audience with his personal storytelling style. Marco is survived by his wife, Erna (Rosenburg) Silvestri, and three children: Philip Silvestri and his wife, Rita, of New York City, NY; Mark Silvestri and his wife, Kristen, of Newfoundland, NJ; and Donna Moore and her husband, John, of Newfoundland, NJ. Marco was a proud grandfather of Justin and Travis Moore; Nick (predeceased) and Lucy Silvestri; and Steven, Sarah, and Kyle Silvestri. Marco was further blessed with a great-grandchild, Isabelle Moore. Services to celebrate his life will be on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home – 187 La Rue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 (for GPS, use 1 Post Place, Newfoundland, NJ 07435). The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church – 454 Germantown Road, West Milford, NJ 07480. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marco’s memory to the West Milford First Aid Squad – 619 Ridge Road, West Milford, NJ 07480.
