PATRICIA A. OTTO

Patricia A. Otto, 61 years, of Jefferson Township, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. She was born on July 12, 1956 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Patricia (nee Daniels) and Eugene Curran. Patti (nee Curran) married John Otto 1983 and resided in Maywood, New Jersey where they started their family. In 1996 they moved to Jefferson Township which has been their home until her passing. While completing her education, Patti was a pre-school teacher. She started her career on Wall Street as a recruiter at Dover Personnel, where she also met her husband John, and later joined L.F. Rothschild as a personnel administrator for five years. Patti switched industries as a Human Resources executive with several telecommunications and healthcare companies, including JWP Telecom, Nydic Open MRI of America and PLUS Diagnostics. She held the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification and an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management and the Professional Women in Healthcare. Patti was passionately committed to community service through the following organizations: the Jefferson Township Historical Society, the Jefferson Township Museum Garden Club and the Jefferson Township Arts Committee. At the JT Arts Committee, she was most proud and privileged to lead development efforts for the Jefferson Township Gazebo, a concert and arts venue. She will best be remembered for her compassion and empathy, her welcoming spirit and eagerness to offer support for others. She was a cheerful and dedicated gardener with a strong appreciation for nature. Patti was known by family and friends as a regular host of holidays and parties, and at her happiest when at her busiest. Patti is survived by her beloved husband John, her loving son Jonathan and his wife Brittany of Hoboken, New Jersey; her dear parents Patricia and Eugene Curran; her loving brother Keith Curran and his fiancée Nancy Martin, her brother- and sister-in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 7pm to 9pm at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 La Rue Road, Newfoundland, New Jersey 07435 (for GPS use 1 Post Place). On Friday, May 25, 2018 the family will receive visitors from 10am to 11am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, 5635 Berkshire Valley Road, Oak Ridge, New Jersey 07438. Immediately following the mass Patricia will be interred in St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery, adjacent to the church.
