Ryan J. Wellema, 32, of West Milford, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 6, 2015. Ryan was born on May 29, 1983 in Wayne, NJ to Judy (Griffin) Wellema and Randall W. Wellema. He grew up in West Milford, NJ and graduated from West Milford High School in 2001. He worked for many years as a mechanic, most recently at Emil’s Auto in Hewitt, NJ and will be remembered as “arguably the best mechanic in town”. Ryan is survived by his beloved mother Judy Kehr and her husband Gregg of West Milford, NJ, his loving father Randall Wellema and his wife Patty of West Milford, NJ; his cherished son Ryden; his dear brothers Andy Wellema and his wife Melissa, Logan Wellema and his girlfriend Dawn, and Garrett Burns and his wife Jen; his loving sister Lynn Burns LaRocco and her husband John; his maternal grandmother Lois; his step-grandmother Patricia Kehr; his dear nieces Brielle, Juliana, and Emily; his dear nephews Dean, James, Collin, and Lucas; along with many loving aunts and uncles, and even more cousins and their children. The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 4pm to 8pm at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 La Rue Road, (GPS use 1 Post Place). A memorial service will take place at the funeral home at 7:30pm during the last half hour of the memorial visitation.
