VIRGINIA WETHERILL Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Virginia L. Wetherill, 71, of Oak Ridge, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Chilton Medical Center. Virginia was born on October 12, 1943 in Staten Island, New York to Ida (Bengtson) and Milton Kiefer. She married Charles Wetherill in 1964 and together they raised their family in Lake Intervale. Known as Ginny to those who loved her, she graduated from County College of Morris, was a preschool teacher, day care director, special education aide and Girl Scout leader. She was a Seeing Eye puppy raiser and was active as a therapy dog handler. She loved splitting her time between NJ and Venice, FL and was an active member of the Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church in New Jersey and the Venice Presbyterian Church in Florida. Ginny will best be remembered for enjoying yoga on the beach, taking care of her garden and often seen walking around town with her husband Charlie and black lab Roper. Her sunny disposition and positive outlook on life brightened the lives of all she met. Ginny is survived by her loving husband Charlie of 50 years; her four devoted children: Jennifer Kraljevich and her husband Mark of Oak RIdge, Jill Folz and her husband Jim of Blaine, MN, Krista Schellinck and her husband Chad of Byram, and Ken Wetherill and his wife Ayano of Midland, GA. She was the proud grandma of Sara, Kyle, Connor, Erika, Arisa, Nikki, Julia, Jacqueline and William and owner of her beloved dog, Roper. The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 4pm to 8pm at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 LaRue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 (For GPS directions use 1 Post Place, Newfoundland, NJ). The funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 11am at the Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church, 321 Oak Ridge Road, Oak Ridge, NJ. Final disposition will be private.
