WALTER "BILL" BOLTON

January 30, 1938 - March 6, 2016

Walter “Bill” Bolton,78, of Rockaway Township, NJ, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016. Bill was born on January 30, 1938 in Morristown, NJ to Richard C. and Hazel (Stone) Bolton. He married Carole (Fischer) in 1961 and they resided in Whippany, NJ until 1970 when they moved to Rockaway, NJ where they raised their family. Bill owned his own trucking company in Whippany, NJ and for many years he worked at Will Trucking in Rockaway Township, NJ. He will best be remembered for his joking personality as well as his hobby collection of coins and trains. Bill was predeceased by his beloved wife Carole in 2006, his brothers Richard and Tom (Daniel) Bolton and his sister Margo O’Brien. Bill is survived by his loving children Marie (Missy) Schiavone and her husband Tom, Dena Holling and her husband Keith, and Bengie Riger; his cherished grandchildren: Michael, Elicia, and Tyler Schiavone, and Eric Holling; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 La Rue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 (GPS use 1 Post Place). The funeral service will take place on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 10am at the funeral home. Following the funeral service Bill will be interred beside his wife at Marcella Union Cemetery in Rockaway Township, NJ.
