SHEILA RHOADES

Sheila Rhoades, 67 years, of Oak Ridge, NJ, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017. She was born on June 5, 1950 in New York City, NY to the late Katherine (nee McNicholas) and the late Edward Conway. Sheila graduated from Bishop McDonnell Memorial High School and went on to Claremont Secretarial School, later working as an auditor as a contract employee at Aerotek, and then assigned to Allegan. She married Paul Rhoades in 1972 and resided for two years in Guttenberg, NJ, moving in 1975 to the Cozy Lake section of Oak Ridge, NJ where they raised their family. Sheila was a faithful parishioner of St. John Vianney RC Church in Stockholm, NJ where she was a member of the choir for many years. She was also on the Jefferson Township Arts Committee where she planned and organized many bus trips to New York City. Sheila was predeceased by her loving parents Katherine in 1978 and Edward Conway in 1983, and her dear sister Mary Gannon in 2015. She is survived by her beloved husband Paul Rhoades, her loving children Daniel Rhoades and his wife Lauren, and Meaghan Rhoades and her husband Matthew Butler, her cherished grandchildren Benjamin and Rebecca Rhoades, her sister Rita Reisman and her husband Arnie, her dear brothers Edward Conway and Michael Conway and his wife Gerrie, her brother-in-law Robert Gannon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 3pm to 7pm at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 La Rue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 (GPS use 1 Post Place). A funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 10am at St. John Vianney RC Church, 2823 Route 23 South, Stockholm, NJ 07460. Immediately following the funeral mass, family and friends are invited to a repast gathering in Madonna Hall, adjacent to the church, to continue celebrating Sheila's life.
